  • Travel Nurse needed for an Emergency Department assignment working nights in Spooner, Wisconsin.
  • Calm, relaxed atmosphere in a hospital emphasizing a culture of excellence.
    • Job Requirements
    • Experience: Use of bipap, airvo, RN to manage and familiarity with vented patients.
    • Common drips: Levophed, epi, nitro, heparin, diltiazem, amiodarone, dobutamine, dopamine, Lasix, insulin, potassium, magnesium, alteplase, Kcentra, propofol, Keppra, Dilantin.
      • Schedule Information
      • Shifts are scheduled where needed, 7pm to 7am.
      • Weekend Requirements: Every other or every third weekend (determined by current scheduling needs).
      • Holiday Requirements: Every third holiday.
      • Is there call or a standby requirement: Travel staff rotate through low census, they are not required to take call if they are cut.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Nurse to patient ratios: 1:4 This may be more during high census times.
        • Floating Requirements: They may be asked to assist with tasks on inpatient, but they will not be assigned patients in that department.
        • Scrub Color: Any color of scrubs are fine.
          • Additional Details
          • - Trauma Level: Trauma level 4. STEMI and strokes are transferred after stabilization.
          • - Do you have a separated holding area in the ER: We keep our patients in ED until they are able to be admitted or transferred.
          • - Charge Nurse: The second ED nurse assumes house supervisor duties at 11PM.
          • - Nurse Aids: ED is staffed with 2 nurses and a physician.
          • Department specific orientation: Yes, 1 day with preceptor, not alone for their first couple shifts.
